Stack&Tilt Putting
Take the #GRIDLIFE onto the green
One of the many questions we have encountered in our travels is "do you guys teach putting?" the answer is "of course!" The same systematic Grid, fundamentals and modeling apply to all facets of the game. As such we have developed a program to organize your putting procedure. So although our full swing teachings have gotten most of the spotlight, Andy Plummer and other coaches within the Network have been teaching putting fundamentals to our players for years.
A lot of golfers approach their putting game as if it is all 'feel' or they 'trial and error' their way around some 'quick fixes'.
Refresh your putting game and become a master of the green with our Online Putting Program.
Controlling the fundamentals
Stack&Tilt created a paradigm shift by clearly describing the fundamentals of the game (Contact, Power, Direction). These same fundamentals can be used to evaluate your putting performance. On the greens (wether that is at your local club or on any of the tours) we see a broad spectrum of styles. You'll see golfers addressing the putt with a lot of flexion in their spine or hardly any flexion, standing with their feet wide apart or very close together, extended arms or flexed elbows. You'll see golfers holding the grip with the 'standard' overlap grip, the reversed overlap, the claw, the pencil grip, the arm lock and the list goes on. How do we decide which one to choose? That is where Stack&Tilt Putting comes in. We use a system to predict the outcome of the motion and any alteration to your technique will fit logically in the model. This knowledge and understanding will make you 'want to make the change'.
Online Putting Program
The Online Stack&Tilt Putting Program is a great way to start enhancing your performance on the greens.
The program consist of 3 sessions:
1) Initial review of your putting motion
After we receive your FO (face on) and DTL (down-the-line) videos you will be send an in-depth analysis of your putting motion, with proposed changes and drills to work on your technique.
2) Follow up session after two weeks
With the new videos that you'll have send to us we will evaluate if the changes are already in place and/or what the next step will.
3) Session to discuss longer term plan for sustainable progress
This session focusses on the understanding of the model and your capability of analyzing the outcome of the shot. In In the video we will also discuss a practice plan for the upcoming weeks/months.
You'll receive a total of 3 videos which can also be used for future reference.
How to record your putting stroke
Always record from a tripod. Record in either High speed or normal speed, but with at least 60 frames per second. Use a straight 10 feet putt for the initial recordings.
Down the Line:
Place the camera on a tripod behind the target line
Set the camera at elbow height
Record 5 putts (full routine)
Face On:
Place the camera perpendicular to the target line
set the camera at elbow height, aimed at the center of your body
Record 5 putts (full routine)
